The 19th Amendment is almost 100 years old. To celebrate, artist Marilyn Artus of Oklahoma City is constructing an 18x26' flag with 36 stripes to represent each of the 36 states that took part in the ratification of the 19th Amendment. She's coming to Austin, Texas to collaborate with artist Mila Sketch to sew her stripe for Texas on the flag! Kerrville Folk Finalist Claudia Gibson, winner of the 2018 Woody Guthrie Songwriting Competition for "Dreamers," will provide the music.
