Wavemakers Summer Sonic Social

 —  —

Radio East, 3504 Montopolis Drive, Austin

Wavemakers Women & Music presents: 🌴Summer Sonic Social Join us Sunday, July 12th at Radio East for an afternoon of song, story, and conversation featuring four extraordinary Austin-based women artists — Suzanna Choffel, Lou Priest, Claudia Gibson, and Emily McLoud — trading songs in rounds, with Wendy Colonna interviewing the artists between rounds. Think song-swap meets fireside chat. About the Songwriters 🔺Suzanna Choffel — Two decades of Texas music history and a voice Rolling Stone called singular. Beat poetry, smoky soul grooves, and indie-pop eccentricity in one. 🔺Lou Priest (Kate Priestly) — British-born, Austin-based, and making music that moves between soul, R&B, folk, and jazz. Warm, textured, and deeply honest. 🔺Claudia Gibson — Writing from the intersection of folk, bluegrass, Celtic, and soul. A Kerrville New Folk finalist and Woody Guthrie Songwriting Contest winner. 🔺Emily McLoud — Roots-woven songs about love, letting go, and the unseen labor of being human. McLoud is also a hospice nurse practitioner, and the work shows — in the emotional clarity and warmth she brings to every song.
